Special Nutrients gives the code to enter in Lamic

Published: June 10, 2009

A few days ago, Engormix published the news that LAMIC created a space in their website for buyers of Anti-Mycotoxin Additives (AMA) to verify if a manufaturer of this type of product have been approved, for what specie and for which mycotoxin. The companies that have their products approved will have their own individual code to obtain access  to such information.
It is important to recall that the government of Brazil is the only one in the world that has scientifically legislated the approval of of Anti-Mycotoxin Additives (AMA) with in vivo studies to PROTECT the consumer. The studies must prove that the product has  efficacy on the TARGET ORGAN that the mycotoxin affects. There are many products that have no efficacy and/or mask the effect caused by mycotoxins and are only improving the inmmune system and/or having a growth promotor effect that is reflected in better productivity parameters but have no protection on the TARGET ORGAN.
The code for SPECIAL NUTRIENTS is:
Login: Mycotoxin  (Note: the M ha to be in capital letter)
Senha: Specialist  (Note: the S has to be in capital letter)
To acces LAMIC website you can go to the link found in the article of Lamic in Engormix or you can go directly to:
1) www.lamic.ufsm.br
2) In the website go to the left hand side were it will show  Resultados AAM, Click on it.
3) A new page will be open were in the right top handside corner it will ask for a Login and  Senha wich you will write the code previosly indicted.
It is recommended, before entering  the code, to look at the bottom of the page were you will see a chart were it indicates  that since 2005 untli now LAMIC has tested 95 products and only 34 (35%) have been approved and the mayority of them, 21 (62%) is only for aflatoxin. It is important to know that most products have been approved for ONLY ONE myctoxin and/or spieces. Until know, there are very few products that have a widespectrum  meaning, that they been aproved for TWO or more myctoxins and or spieces of animal.
Ask your suplier of your  Anti-Mycotoxin Additive (AMA) for the code to verify if their products is/are approved for wich mycotoxin(s) and wich spiece(s).
