Kemin scientist will speak at Mycotoxins 2011

SINGAPORE - March 7, 2011 - Dr. Elke Schoeters, a biochemist for Kemin AgriFoods, will present at Mycotoxins 2011, held at the Imperial Queen's Park Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand. The conference will take place March 8, 2011 prior to VIV Asia.
Dr. Schoeters' presentation entitled: "Designer silicates with breakthrough performances" will focus on the complex structure of silicates and their most important physical characteristics affecting their ability to bind mycotoxins. State-of-the-art methods to characterize silicates and the possibility of silicate modifications will be explained. Finally, recent insights in nutritional solutions that contribute to the safe, efficient and healthy production of animal protein will be discussed.
Dr. Schoeters will be available in the Kemin booth in hall 105, stand No: 02.C030, during VIV Asia, March 9 - 11 in Bangkok, Thailand.  Dr. C. Sugumar and Dr. Koh Thong Jin will also be presenting during VIV Asia.  Dr. Sugumar will present "Opportunities for Ingredient Substitutions in Asian Feeds + New Trends in Formulation of Poultry Diets" on Wednesday, March 9 during session 2 at 14:00.  Dr. Thong Jin will present "A Novel Bacillus Subtilis PB6 Strain for use Against Clostridial Infections" on Thursday, March 10 during session 23 at 10:30.
The Kemin booth will feature a celebration of the company's 50th Anniversary.  The celebration will include a grand piano and pianist as well as light refreshments and cookies throughout the show.  A special champagne toast will take place Wednesday, March 9 at 11:30 in the Kemin booth.
