Re: Endotoxins in ruminant - Jesse Stoops, Product Manager Nutrex
06/03/2017 | Dear Dr. Tanveer,

First of all, thank you for your questions.

The product, EndoBan, is a feed additive that combines different strategies to reduce the level of toxic endotoxins (free LPS-molecules) in the gastrointestinal tract of animals. As a result, less toxic endotoxins can pass through the digestive tract barrier into the blood, thereby lowering the potential for endotoxemia and the subsequent effects on animal performance. Experiments have proven that EndoBan was able to efficiently reduce the activity of endotoxins, even at high contamination levels (> 100 000 EU/ml, endotoxin activity in the rumen of cows with SARA).

As mentioned above, the product is effective in the gastrointestinal tract and protects the animal against endotoxemia. In septicemic diseases, the endotoxins are already in the blood. In this case, EndoBan alone will not solve the problem.
