Trouw Nutrition strengthening its presence in South America

South America is one of the key areas for Trouw Nutrition for further growth and market development. With effect from July 2008, and in line with this strategy, Trouw Nutrition is strengthening her presence in South America by appointing an area manager for the region. In addition, feed industry and farms in South America will be served with Trouw Nutrition's regional Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Farm (B2F) product portfolios and services.

Mr. Karo Mikaelian has been appointed as Area Manager Southern-America. He will be responsible for coordinating the sales, technical support and distributing network for all countries in South America, excluding Brazil. Mr. Mikaelian explains: "In the first phase, we will focus on extending our business in Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela. Market development in other countries including Argentina, Bolivia,
Uruguay and Paraguay will follow in the next stage."

Before joining Trouw Nutrition Hifeed, Mr. Mikaelian has been working for Trouw Nutrition USA, as Vice President International Sales & Market Development. He brings over 27 years experience in animal nutrition and health, managing premix operations as well as business development in South America and Asia. Mr Mikaelian reports to Mr Marko Schuring, Director International Projects of Trouw Nutrition Hifeed.

The B2B product portfolio for the region includes a broad product range of proven and consistent quality, including Feed Additives like ^TNIbetain, Optimin®, Novasil®Plus, Fibosel®, ProtiOne®, Fylax®, Fysal® and Selacid®-Green Growth. For B2F, the regional product range includes the Perfexan range of Animal Health
Products, Nutriful and Glucolac Plus.
