ACTION AND PROPERTIES:
The addition of PELCON to mash feed allows higher conditioning temperature. The results in better gelatinization of starch and higher quality, more durable pellets. PELCON adsorbs up to 1.3 times moisture its own weight, allowing greater moistening from steam. This alters the mill chokepoint so higher temperatures can be used in the palleting process.
