The article is useful while taking decision as a management tool suitable to dairy farmer in his own environment. The writer has given options which may be suitable in one case while in other case it may be cumbersome. Further the article is self explanatory keeping in view the farm economics and COW's COMFORT.

The article covers a lot, but where we are pulling sand out of the freestalls and going in with green manure we are seeing a lot of positive results reducing SCC, clinicals and increasing the immune system. If you are seeing E-coli, streps, etc., you better be sampling your teat dip and fine tuning your milking system.
