This article throws more light to aflatoxin factor in bacteria resistances to antibiotics. We currently face high resistances to common bacteria like Ecoli, pseudomonas, pasteurella and salmonella in the tropics. Very little attention is focused on the effect of aflatoxin in the management of resistances, especially with the high incidence of poor raw material quality, especially of oil seeds and even maize. This lecture will emphazise the need for practitioners to integrate aflatoxin tests along with sensitivity tests in diagnostic decisions to manage resistance development in poultry. Stephen Adejoro
