My experience is that every time you give 2 ml or more the uterine contractions become faster but shorter and in many cases spasmotic which may result in inertia or sometimes rupture of the uterus. Good article about the Starting up a pig farm. But if starting up capital is not a problem, I think that before you decide on the number of sows that you want to have first you should be sure if you have adequate water and feed supply in your area, how far are you from the market (abattoir)?
