Poultry production systems are highly challenging. They are affected by environmental factors like temperature, ventilation, population density and other stressing agents (Rocha et al., 2014). Additionally, pathogens and mycotoxins are constantly present, which may reduce or affect the immune response of broilers.Broilers have a large amount of lymphoid tissue and immune system cells in the intest ...

Mr. Ahmed Hamoud, Firstly, thanks for your interesting and question. All these factors you cited are correlated. When we have an increase of the pathogenic bacterial population in the intestine and the immune system is not working very well to eliminate them, the intestinal structures will be impaired and can occur rupture of tight junctions and cell death. In this way, there will be increased inte ...

Thanks, Melina, excellent speech! 100% agree. May be also a reason to remember trials with Salmonella and feed enzyme Avizyme, resulting in bad conditions for Salmonella in the gut and resistance to low titres of Salmonella in broilers.

Antibiotic resistance overview Global meat production increased by almost 20% in the last decade, where the pork and poultry industries showed the highest level of expansion. Rapid urbanization and increasing incomes have had a strongly positive effect on animal protein consumption. Improvements in feed technology and animal production systems have contributed to the shift from extensive to inten ...

With Tunnel ventilation system you cannot avoid the humidity outside the shed. With increased air flow through the shed you can replace the humid air inside the shed and this is the only solution. If somebody has a bright idea then he can come up with it rather not just critising and not giving any solution.

Evaporative Cooling with Power Ventilation Fogging nozzles and evaporative cooling pads are options that can be used in combination with power ventilation systems and especially with tunnel ventilation. Evaporative cooling uses heat from the air to vaporize water, increasing humidity but lowering air temperatures. Evaporative cooling can be effective in during the hottest part of most days becaus ...
