JOVAC was established in 1986 by the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, with the assistance of the German Government through the GTZ for manufacturing of veterinary vaccines and biological diagnostic reagents.

In April 1997, JOVAC was privatized for flexible management. In February 2004, the company has acquired the ISO 9001-2000 Certificate. In March 2004, Skanska Pharmaceutical Group has evaluated the level of compliance of JOVAC facilities and the Manufacturing Operation with Good Manufacturing Practice.

GMPS and GLPS specifications in manufacturing veterinary vaccines are implemented according to international standards of OIE, FAO, Eu. Ph. and CFR.

The company manufactures and distributes diagnostic antisera and veterinary viral and bacterial vaccines for poultry, cattle and sheep.
