This was a great news for academicians and extension workers. The generation interval can be reduced for selection targetted at elminating the undesirable heriditary characteristics from the livestock population. I am going to submit the information to my postgraduate students and other audience at Livestock Industry, a Yahoo Group established as an interactive forum for various stakeholders.
