Founded in 1961, Kemin Industries, Inc., provides health and nutritional solutions to the Agrifoods, Food Ingredients, Pet Food, Human Health and Pharmaceutical Industries.

Kemin is a privately-owned nutritional ingredient manufacturer headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. It employs experts in animal feed, human dietary supplements and food products, and petfoods, and serves a customer base that impacts 80 percent of the global food production.

The Kemin family of companies strives to touch the lives of half the people of the world every day with it products and services. Its nearly 1.000 employees work in more than 60 countries, with manufacturing facilities in Belgium, Brazil, China, India, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand and the United States.

The agrifoods businesses of Kemin focus on TOTAL NUTRITION® to help its customers achieve a highly effective, consistent system of profitable animal production. Rather than all out production at minimum cost, success in the future will instead be measured by achieving satisfactory balance between production enhancement and managing disease; ensuring food quality and safety; minimizing the impact of production on the environment; and achieving consumer satisfaction. Finding and maintaining the critical balance between all these considerations is the basis for TOTAL NUTRITION®.

The mission of Kemin AgriFoods Europe division is to cultivate and implement the most advanced nutritional solutions available today. Since 1973, Kemin has created, manufactured, and marketed a wide range of specialty ingredients for the animal feed industries.

Kemin AgriFoods Europe division is located in Herentals, Belgium. Here, a manufacturing plant, a state-of-the-art Research & Development centre, a fully equipped laboratory, and a distribution centre supports the growing number of customers on the European and African continent and the Middle East. To better serve our customers on the African continent, in 2004 Kemin has started production in Johannesburg, South Africa.

In Europe, Africa and the Middle East, Kemin provides the animal feed industry with a complete range of nutricines in four key areas: Food Safety, Oxidation Control, Production Efficiency and Rumen Protected Products.
