ALKOSEL® R397 is an inactivated whole cell yeast product containing elevated levels of organic selenium (min98). The organic selenium contained in ALKOSEL® R397 is predominantly in the form of Selenomethionine.

 This natural form of selenium is highly bioavailable to the animal. As part of its EU registration dossier as a nutritional feed additive for all animal species, ALKOSEL® R397 has extensive data on the efficacy and safety of its specific Saccharomyces cerevisiae NCYC R397 yeast strain.

 ALKOSEL®R397 is registered (EC N° 3b8.11) as a nutritional feed additive for all animal species within the EU. This registration is specific to the Lallemand yeast strain of Saccharomyces cerevisiae NCYC R397 used in the manufacture of ALKOSEL®R397.

Due to its high bioavailability, ALKOSEL® R397 optimizes the animals’ selenium status which allows them to realize their full growth and production potential.
