FOSPHACID + FOSPHACID PLUS
Using a good acidifying compound of proven stability such as FOSphACID or FOSphACID
PLUS aids digestion of the alimentary bolus in the stomach at pH levels between
2 and 26, enabling passage to the intestine of closed capsules which slowly
open and help create a more suitable medium for optimal assimilation of proteins
and fats. This prevents the proliferation of pathogenic germs which cause
diarrhea and other gastric upsets.
According to their mechanism of action, they may be classified as:
Simple Action - Acting in the mouth and stomach, they are neutralized in the duodenum so they cannot act on the intestine.
Dual Action - One part acts like a simple acidifier, and the other, which
is protected, is not neutralized in the duodenum, and may be released to act
on the intestine.
Acidifiers, as pH reducers of feed, are especially effective in:
The effects of using acidifiers may be summarized as:
In the stomach (simple and dual action acidifiers) Increasing production of
pepsin + Stimulating pancreatic secretion + Inhibiting the proliferation
of E. coli.
In the intestine (just dual action acidifier)
Favouring beneficial acidophillic bacteria (lactobacilli) and against enteropathogenic
bacteria (E. oli, Clostridia, etc.).
FOSPHACID PLUS IS A DOUBLE ACTION COATED ACIDIFIER WITH GASTRIC AND INTESTINAL EFFECTS: it is a compound acidifier with a coated part and a free one, to get a long effective action in the different sections of the digestive system. The addition of FOSphACID plus in the feed gives the following advantages apart from the ones of a normal acidifier: Decrease of intestinal fermentation + Decrease of pathogenic flora in the intestine + Assistance for the reequilibrium of the intestinal flora.
