CHICAGO, (January 7, 2010) - Amlan International, in coordination with WATT Publishing, will sponsor a live webinar entitled "The Welfare Trap: Gut Health, Leg Problems and More," at the International Poultry Expo in Atlanta, Georgia, January 28, 2010.
The presentation will examine how consumer and regulatory pressures impact nutritional and veterinary care and the consequences for flock welfare and performance. Discussion will also include the impact of reduction or elimination of antibiotics on gut health, plus other nutritional, husbandry and health implications for leg problems
Dr. Peter Ferket of North Carolina State University Department of Poultry Science will moderate the presentation.
Dr. Richard Ducatelle, a professor of Veterinary Pathology and Animal Hygiene at Ghent University in Belgium and Dr. Ken Powell, Director of Veterinary Services at Hubbard Breeders will be panelists for the discussion.
