Stomach and gut pH control
The weaning phase is the most delicate for all animals. About swine, the most important problem in this phase is to control stomach and gut pH, because stomach glands in weaning piglets aren't effective in having a proper stomach pH with some negative consequences such as protein bad digestion, and pathogens bacteria proliferation. Using acidifiers together with a good feed ration (with special attention to buffer capacity) is the best way to control this serious problem. SUINACID is studied to control pH in weanig piglets' stomach and gut with as a consequence a better digestion and less danger of intestinal pathogens infections and possible systemic disease, and to control pathogens bacteria proliferation. The final result is a good zootechnical result!
The particular blend of SUINACID is studied not to be corrosive for structure and to be tastefull for pigs, above all for weaning piglets, some acidifiers in fact are not well accepted.

SHORTACID an innovative acidifier and not only...
It's a blend of acidifiers with the same attributes as SUINACID but with a special one, butyric acid in protected form. It's a kind of "chemical protection" because free butyric acid has a bad smell and taste for animals, instead esters of butyric acid which are the most important ingredients of SUINACID have good taste and no bad smell for animals. In the gut, esters of butyric, under pancreatic enzymes actions can deliver butyric acid in the gut in a gradual release.
Butyric acid action in the first part of the gut is very important because it represents the most prompt source of energy for villi cells, it's a grat aid in protecting villi cell in this delicate phase in which villi growth can be compromised by antinutritional factors and some kind of infections. Remember that if you aren't careful in preserving good gut integration in this phase, you'll not be able to reach good zootechnical result in next swine life phases!
This is the reason why, Eurofeed studied Shortacid, the most effective product in controlling this serious problem.
SUINACID is very effective also for growing and fattening pigs, above to control Salmonella spp and Coli spp infections, and then acidified diets seems to have some positive effects also with ileitis problem (Brachispira spp infections).
