Dr. Swamy Haladi, Alltech Global Technical Manager, Mycotoxin Management Team, talks about masked mycotoxins. Masked mycotoxins are also called as conjugated mycotoxins wherein a mycotoxin is attached to glucose or some other molecules. Such masking will underestimate the toxicity as most of the commercial laboratories currently are not capable of analyzing masked mycotoxins. These masked mycotoxins can be toxic to animals.
