Sad News: Dr. Gimeno has passed away

It is with great regret that we, at Special Nutrients, communicate the passing of Dr. Alberto Gimeno in the city of Lisboa, Portugal, where he lived. 

As it is known to the readers of this forum, Dr. Gimeno, chemical & industrial engineer, and a native from Barcelona, Spain, worked with our company for many years as a technical consultant due to his vast experience in animal nutrition and the toxicological effects of mycotoxins.  His professional trajectory leaves a significant imprint through his investigative work in fungistatics and antioxidants, multiple publications of books and articles, and his participation in international forums and university cathedrae, among others.

Those of us that had the opportunity to meet him personally and spend time with him got to know a family man of intellectual height, with a great sense of humor, and a deeply rooted passion for his work always willing to openly share his extensive knowledge with others.

His scientific contribution leaves us a solid foundation from which Special Nutrients will build on in order to continue his legacy in the important field of animal nutrition.

Rest in peace our colleague and friend, Dr. Gimeno.
