The European Probiotic Association (EPA) has announced the creation of its Scientific Committee, formed of internationally renowned experts representing different aspects of animal nutrition and microbiology.
The members of the EPA Scientific Committee are:
- Prof. Joaquim Brufau; IRTA (Institut de Recerca i Tecnologia Agroalimentàries), Spain.
- Dr François -Joël Gatesoupe; INRA (Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique) and Ifremer (Institut français de recherche pour l'exploitation de la mer), France.
- Prof. Jean-François Guillot; Université de Tours and member of SCAN (Scientific Committee for Animal Nutrition), France.
- Prof. Jamie Newbold, Aberystwyth University, Wales.
At this occasion, EPA members are pleased to invite you to a press conference and cocktail during Victam International in Cologne, on the 3rd May 2011 from 4:00 PM.
This event will take place at Congress Centrum Nord, Koelnmesse (North entrance), in Conference Room C.
It will be a great opportunity to meet and share with the experts of our Scientific Committee about the potential of probiotics as feed additives and their place in tomorrow's sustainable and profitable animal production.
Based on their areas of research and expertise, members of the EPA Scientific Committee will give us their opinion about probiotics and what make them work in animal nutrition.
This event will also be an opportunity to pay a tribute to the late Bruno Rochet, former President and instigator of EPA, and to launch the call for applications for the next Jules Tournut Prize.
