Experts from ADDCON have been invited to speak at IFFO's (International Fishmeal and Fish Oil Organization) annual conference, which took place in Vienna from October 5th till 8th 2009. Dr. Christian Lückstädt has been asked to share his experience on "Improving fish quality for fishmeal production".
In the technial Meeting, Dr. Christian Lückstädt presented ADDCONs expertise on "Utilisation of organic acids for the preservation of fish prior to processing into fishmeal".
"When we talked to the organizers on our approach with FISHFORM, we were asked to share our knowledge at the conference" said Dr. Lückstädt.
FISHFORM (http://www.addcon.net/en/home/feed/aquaculture/fishform-plus) is currently one of 3 main products intended to be used in fish. "AQUAFORM, ENSILOX and FISHFORM are the products we are offering for aquaculture and for fisheries in order to help the industry with quality and performance enhancers. The products, which have been used in Scandinavia for some years already, are now exported to Asia and South-America" says Dr. Christian Lückstädt. "With the ongoing growth in this segment, we are confident that the products will be a success worldwide. The paper presented at the IFFO conference highlighted some recent large-scale commercial-trials from Thailand" continues Dr. Lückstädt.
ADDCON also joined IFFO as an Associate Member, in order to be able to focus even more on the needs of the fishmeal and fish oil industry.
