To Dr Arif Inamdar;
Thank you for your article on “Calf mortality: causes and control measures”
But, Sorry, I couldn’t understand the passage about management and miscellaneous factors calf.
To obtain vigorous and healthy calves should do? On one hand, you recommend allowing calf to suckle its mother for the first two days post-partum and on the other hand you say: “remove the calf from the dam and maternity pen immediately to avoid disease transfer and to provide a clean, dry resting surface to ensure its hair coat stays dry, helping insulate against the cold ground, low air temperatures and sudden temperature changes.
I want to learn, how to recognize and remember a cow her own calf for suckling and how to solve this problem.
