To overcome an outbreak of clinical mastitis or to control a high SCC level the following approach has proved very successful.1. Excalent Article Two comments
1. on removal of clusters dip clusters in a per acetic acid solution( e.g. serpent) change after 12 dips and apply to next cow.
I recomend
On removal of cluster firtly flush with clean water in order to remove residual
milk
from the cluster. You can also dip the cluster in hypocloride (much cheaper than peracetic acid)
2. Vacuume leval should be 50- 48 kPa in highlines (depending on automation milk meters, detatchers)
46- 48 kPa in mid-lines
44-42 in low lines
in order for teat end vacuum to be between 37 - 40 kPa
