Animal Nutrition play a vital role in livestock productivity as feeding alone accounts for 70% of the recurring cost. Hence any qualitative and quantitative improvement in feeding will improve production. With the change in climatic conditions and increased livestock productivity levels, there is a greater physiological stress on livestock, there is a need to develop strategies that are climate resilient and sustainable.

Growing demand for livestock products on one hand and the ability of the present production systems & natural resources on the other hand to sustain and further improve to fulfill the growing demand of feeds is one of the major challenges for the livestock sector. Declining productivity and degradation of natural resources across the continents and the impending climate change is likely to have a major impact on the livestock production system. Hence, the present livestock production system needs to be reoriented to not only address these challenges but go beyond and play a major role in ensuing livelihood and food security for the millions of marginal people dependent on livestock. This global conference will be a sincere effort to bring all the stake holders on a common platform to deliberate and design a road map to meet the existing and future challenges.
