Information

The Central Plains Dairy Association (CPDA)is a non-profit organization that works to grow the dairy industry in the Central Plains states and the I-29 Corridor through education and communication activities. CPDA hosts the Central Plains Dairy Expo, a trade show and conference each March.

The Central Plains Dairy Expo is growing into new convention facilities that have been built around the  Sioux Fall Convention Center.

The Welcome Reception and Concert on the evening of March 24 will be held in the new Denny Sanford Premier Center. The just-completed 4-story, 12,000-seat, state-of-the-art Sanford Center will be an exciting new venue to showcase the region’s growing dairy industry.

The indoor trade show space is nearly doubling. There will be exhibits in both the Convention Center and the Arena. All will be related to dairy. They’ll feature equipment, products and services for milk producers, calf and heifer growers and dairy-beef feeders. As a result of the expansion, more large machinery and equipment will be on display than ever before. Don’t miss the new Machinery Row in the Arena! There will be more breakout sessions, too.

Still easy and free

The Central Plains Dairy Expo is easy to get to, Sioux Falls is still easy to get around in, and nearly everything associated with the Expo is free.

The Convention Center complex is located near the junction of I-90 and I-29. Take I-29 Exit 81 and follow the signs 1 ¾ miles east.Parking is free.

Admission to the trade show is free.Admission to the Welcome Reception and Concert is free to dairy producers, calf and heifer growers and dairy beef feeders and their families and their employees. Tickets for industry members are included with their booths and sponsorships. Much of the food at the show is free. Several exhibitors are providing lunches for their customers. Cap off the first day of the trade show by taking in the free cheese social in the exhibit halls. In evening, be sure to get together with company reps and go out on the town for dinner.

Free shuttle service

Several hotels in Sioux Falls are offering free shuttle service for their guests to and from the Sanford Center on Tuesday for the Welcome Reception and Concert. Be sure to ask about the service when making reservations.
