Professor Michael Allen, from Michigan State University is the author or co-author of over 500 publications. His research interests include the effects of diet characteristics on energy intake and partitioning and improving forage utilization. At Wageningen NDF2010 symposium, he told the audience how the influence of fiber quality and content on feed intake depends on the cows lactating phase or productivity.
